April Winz
I started working with UESP this summer (2025) and am serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I've been at OSU since fall 2024 when I started a master's program in College Student Services Administration, and plan to graduate in spring 2026.
I'm so excited to be working with UESP students because I also was an explorer for the first year of my undergraduate experience. When I started college, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and felt drawn to so many different majors and careers. The advisors I worked with truly helped me find my path, and because of that I strive to support students in their own journeys.
I graduated with a BA in Public Relations from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon with a minor in Spanish. During my time there, I held positions in public relations, social media management and first-year programs. This helped me find my current passions — the intersection of student support with communications, and academic and career advising.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outside (hiking and paddleboarding are some of my favorites), reading, cooking, figure skating and going on adventures with friends.
