I started with UESP as an intern in 2010, and returned Spring 2016 as a full time advisor. Exploring students bring so much potential and possibility to the advising relationship. I enjoy learning student’s stories and helping them navigate their journey in UESP.
I have a BS in Political Science from the University of Oregon. I received both my Master’s degrees from OSU: an MAIS in Women Studies and Anthropology in 1997, and M.Ed. in CSSA in 2011. I completed a PhD from the U of O in Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education in 2017. My doctoral research focused on cultural competence in teaching in college access programs for under-represented students.
My hobbies and interests include: showing and trail riding my mules, walking, reading, writing, and getting outside. I also love spending time with my two kids, Cosmo and Fiona.
